Our mind is free, yet it is clearer when we give it direction, lightness, and space. A sense of reflection is key for all creation. There is a thought and idea behind all manifestation.
The Air invites us to pursue an idea, to linger over a thought, to clarify a dream, to allow for inspiration. It’s the antenna that captures and then transmits the messages. The breeze and the fresh Air bring us clarity and peace. Air relates to the ways that our belief system dictates our decisions. How we judge or perceive each situation can directly affect the outcome.
The skin and the breath represent the Air on the physical level. Air is associated with Elemental Beings, called sylphs, whom we may call upon to help us work with this Element.
In this Air, we develop the adult within us; we explore different perspectives and our own minds. We examine our culture and affirm or deny some beliefs, setting parameters in our thoughts. Our perspective is created by our core beliefs and proved true or not by our learning experience. This knowledge is stored in our four other Elements as we think through our experiences. All of our observations and reflections are based on our perspective and judgment. The Air can capture an overflow of ideas and thoughts that can be overwhelming to the other Elements and limit the progress of manifestation. A strong judgment or core belief can cause a stress and prevent the person from receiving any new ideas. He or she won’t be receptive to new possibilities.
A balanced Air Element will allow a clear selection and reflection through life’s journey. The clarification of an affirmation or mantra will support the flow of creativity, clearing, aligning and integrating all the Elements.
The integration of the philosophy of yoga in the class provides a more integrative understanding to your students through their practice.

As a teacher you want to constantly grow and continue to learn. Study about different subject matters directly related to yoga practice and the main path you are choosing.
Clarity of mind will give space for your students to reflect along their journey.
